Sour Cream & Onion Chicken Tenders
Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:44AM Last night I made an amazing chicken dish, which turned out much better than I expected. I love sour cream and onion flavored things and I like chicken tenders so I decided to combine the two ingredients to make Sour Cream & Onion Chicken Tenders. It turned out wonderful!!
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- salt and pepper
- 1 large bag of sour cream & onion flavored potato chips
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 2 or 4 tablespoons milk [if you use 2 eggs then use 4 tablespoons milk]
- 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1 1/2 inch strips
Directions:
- preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Season the flour with salt and pepper then place in a shallow dish
- Place finely crushed potato chips in a second shallow dish
- In a third dish, beat together the egg and milk
- Coat chicken tenders in the flour, coating completely
- Dip thoroughly in the egg mixture and then into the crushed chips
- Transfer the chicken to a lightly greased cookie sheet
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes - flipping the chicken once during cooking period - or until golden brown and cooked through

Until next time, happy chip smashin'!

We have a spot here in Baltimore called Hip Hop Chicken and although they don't give out the secret recipe I pin pointed it as sour cream and onion seasoning on their wings. Davon LOVES the chicken there as does everyone else. When we go he always orders the 20 wing deal and the lines are nuts!! Now I will definitely make this for him and save him a trip and some money. Thanks Mel we love you so much!!!!
These were great. Even my 11 year old liked them and he doesn't like much. I didn't tell him they were coated in Sour Cream and Onion chips until after he raved about them. We will definitely be making these again. My husband cut some up and put them on his salad...I would have, but ate mine before the salad was made. My husband thought they would be good with BBQ chips as well, so we might be trying that next time.
